Budgy

Budgy began as the studio's expense tracker and grew into a private operating system for the financial side of a one-person company. It follows recurring subscriptions and usage-based costs across projects, connects receipts and imported statements to canonical transactions, allocates shared services, and keeps the result inspectable instead of hiding it behind a generic finance dashboard.

Its wealth area is deliberately separate from business spend. Plaid supplies protected cash, investment, credit, and loan snapshots; a view-only Coinbase connection covers crypto balances Plaid cannot reach. The entire FastAPI application sits behind an admin sign-in, stores encrypted financial credentials in Postgres, avoids caching private pages, and runs on Railway as an installable phone-first PWA.
